This is my fifth year teaching and also the fifth year at Boles High School.
I teach American Sign Langauge 1, 2, and 3 & 4-combined. I am an American Sign Language Club sponsor and Class of 2022 sponsor. I am a yearbook editor in chief and photographer.
I completed my 60 days of student-teaching experience at Katy ISD the past spring (January-May 2016). I did two days of substitute teaching and a day of proctoring the American Sign Language Level 1 Credit by Exam (CBE) for Katy ISD as well.
I was a sign language tutor at several colleges before I went to Lamar University in Beaumont. I did tutoring at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Collin College – Spring Creek Campus in Plano, and Lamar University. The students and the teachers at these schools complimented that I helped the students understand the language and linguistics of American Sign Language and its American Deaf Culture. They encouraged me to become an American Sign Language teacher.
I am native Texan and living here in Quinlan. My parents and sister are living in Mesquite. My parents are retired. My sister is a swimming instructor for children. My parents and my sister have two Rottweilers, a white German Shepherd, and a black cat named Fonzie.
