Over my 23 years of teaching, I have attended many conferences and workshops. This past summer I enjoyed attending the Revolutionizing Learning Conference at Royse City High School. It was a motivating conference and gave me a lot of wonderful ideas to try in my classroom.
I began teaching at Boles Elementary in 2004. I absolutely enjoyed my second graders. In 2006, I recieved my FCS certification and made the transition to high school. I love Boles High School and feel very fortunate to be a part of the BHS family.
I began my teaching career in 1985 at Bowie Elementary in Greenville, TX teaching Kindergarten. Bowie just happens to be the same school I went to when I was young. Many of the same teachers were still there. This made my first teaching experiences extra special. I went on to teach 2nd grade at Bowie for 9 more years, before taking a 10 year sabatical to be a “stay at home” mom.
I have been happily married to my husband, Micheal, for 26 years. We have a wonderful daughter named Emma, and just “gained” an awesome son-in-law, Cyle, last year. They are both graduates of the BHS class of 2012. We also have a 12 year old lab named Daisy.
In my spare time, I enjoying being with family and friends. We love watching our Texas teams play….Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, and Stars!! We also enjoy traveling and exploring the world around us.
